The Two MOST Powerful Tools To Success
Do you remember how it feels to come home from an AMAZING weekend at your company's annual conference?
Maybe you've never been, but I'm sure you still know what this is like...
We’ve all experienced it...
Rubber Band Effect
You’ve been to a conference, seminar, or meeting which has had an impact on your life.
You’ve been inspired and motivated and you come home with new, or reinvigorated, dreams and goals.
The rubber band of your life has been stretched to new heights and you’re excited about where you’re going and what you’ve committed to. You’ve seen how successful other people are and you really want to do this too!
And then 3 days later, 5 days later, or maybe a week or two later “real” life gets in the way.
The rubber band snaps back to where it’s always been.
The energy and dreams that were so exciting seem like they were light years ago and miles away. You’re back at your job which is taking up so much of your time, you’ve got kids, a home to take care of, a spouse or partner who doesn’t support you as much as you’d like, and maybe you’ve got aging parents who are demanding of your time.
How do you stay on the high and keep the momentum going?
How do you keep stretching that rubber band of your life to reach farther to your dreams and goals?
It’s simple.
But I’ll be brutally honest.
It’s NOT easy.
It takes making a decision. An absolute final decision.
Then it takes discipline and commitment to a daily practice. This daily practice doesn’t have to take hours, and it’s certainly not hard work. But it takes consistency.
A brilliant mentor of mine, Keith Cunningham, always says
“Ordinary things consistently done, produce extraordinary results.”
And this is absolutely true in my experience.
Here are two simple ideas of daily practices I have.
I honestly don’t let a day go by without doing these two things.
The Two MOST Powerful Tools To Success
- I have a daily practice of gratitude. Every morning before I get out of bed, as I’m lying there awake, but haven’t opened my eyes up yet, I breathe deeply and slowly. On the inhale I say to myself “I’m so happy, thankful and grateful”. And on the exhale I say the same thing. I do this until I’m really in the feeling and vibration of joy and gratitude. This takes 2 to 5 minutes.
- The next thing I do is I DECIDE that this is the best day of my life! Any time during the day that things may start to go in a direction that isn’t what I had intended, or that doesn’t feel great, I remind myself right away that this IS the best day of my life. It’s amazing how quickly I get back in alignment with the high frequency vibration that I started the day with, and that I intended for this day.
What I’ve found is that 7 best days of my life, create the best week of my life. Only four best weeks of my life, create the best month of my life. And in just 12 best months, I’ve consciously created the best year of my life!
The rubber band of my life keeps stretching and stretching to new, more wonderful, more abundant, more joyous heights.
Yours can too!
