Watch the video and read more below.

We’re specifically talking about creating a Facebook Group to Build Your Business.

FACT #1: Facebook Groups can help create a ton of momentum for your business and they can help you generate prospects, sales, and team members.

AND…the truth that no one wants to tell you is…

FACT #2: Facebook Groups require:

  • A TON of time
  • Rock solid CONSISTENCY and COMMITMENT
  • Patience (which 95% of people don’t have)

And generally, thousands of members to generate activity and interaction (depending of course on the niche and purpose)

WARNING: This is not a “build it and they will come” strategy.

If you don’t have thousands of friends and followers who are already interested in what you’re offering it’s most likely going to be a very slow, challenging, uphill battle.

You need to show up every single day in your group to have highly engaged group.

You need to demonstrate trust, reliability, integrity, competence, sincerity and commitment.

Don’t even start a group if you’re not willing to do what it takes.

How To Create A Successful Facebook Group

TARGET AUDIENCE

  • Know exactly who your target audience is.

Setting a target audience for yourself of women is not enough! Women who are looking for what? What results, changes, or benefits are these women looking for. What do you uniquely have to offer?

A target audience of people who want to lose weight is not specific enough. Is your weight loss system paleo? Keto? Vegan/plant-based? Is it for busy moms? Is it for menopausal women?

The more specific you are about your target audience the more powerful your group will be.

NAME

  • Create a name for your group that will very clearly tells your target audience what your group is about and what’s in if for them.

My group is named “LinkedIn for Network Marketers And So Much More”. I’ve very clearly identified my target audience – Network Marketers. And I’ve clearly implied that they’re going to learn about how to use LinkedIn to build their businesses. And I’ve told them they’re going to get much more than just that.

You can join my group here.

Unless you’re a superstar (in which case you’re not even reading this) and everyone knows your name and what you do, don’t use your name in the name of your group.

You want to make your group easy to find when your ideal prospect is searching on Facebook.

And you want Facebook to show your group to your ideal prospects. Having keywords in the name of your group is critical to this.

CONTENT

  • Understand what your target audience is looking for.

What valuable content are going to share with your group members?

Can you create enough content in the form of tools, tips, ideas, recipes, interesting statistics, facts, etc. to keep your members engaged and coming back for more?

If not, think again about starting a group!

EXPERT TIP: Have a theme for each day of the week. This will make your life infinitely easier when creating content.

Here are some ideas:

Sunday – Set intentions for the week ahead. Ask your group what their intentions are for the week.

Monday – Get a tip about action steps for the week, how to set your week up for success, or do the standard “Motivational Monday”.

Tuesday – Share a tool that helps you.

Wednesday – Create a FAQ and answer it in the group. Or if you’ve got enough members and enough interaction have your members ask any questions they want.

Thursday – I use Thursday as my live training day where I do a 20 - 30 minute in-depth LIVE training on a topic I know my audience is interested in.

Friday – Celebrate your wins for the week. Ask members to post their progress and their wins.

Saturday – If you’re not doing it throughout the week use Saturday to welcome new members.

EXPERT TIP: Ask questions in the group to get engagement.

Create a series of questions and ask the same question every Sunday, and a different question every Wednesday, for example.

Remember you’ve got to be in it for the long haul. It can take time, as in sometime months to get consistent engagement.

EXPERT TIP: Go live in your group at least once a week!!!!! Your group members need to feel like they know you. Seeing you live on video is the best possible way to do that!

WELCOME VIDEO

Do a short two to three-minute welcome video letting your members know what they’re going to get out of being in the group and what they can expect.

Let them know what the rules of the group are. If you don’t allow prospecting, promoting, selling in the group, let them know.

How To Create Auto-Pilot Profits From Your Facebook Group

1.     Use Your Facebook Group to Grow Your Email List

Make it a requirement for anyone who wants to join your group to give you their email address.

Create several questions your ideal prospects need to answer in order to join your group. One of these questions is their email address.

If they’re not willing to answer the questions and give their email address don’t admit them into your group.

Add them to your email list in your autoresponder and send them an automated email welcoming them to your group.

In the welcome email let them know how excited you are to have them in the group and let them know what they can expect.

I tell my new members to be sure to join me every Thursday for my live training in the group.

Be sure to have a call to action in the welcome email. This could be an opportunity to find out more about your products, service or opportunity.

2.    Posting

DO Provide Value.

DO Have a Call to Action in approximately 25 – 30 % of your posts. This can be promoting a product, service or opportunity to book a call with you.

DON’T Turn Your Group Into a NON-STOP Sales Pitch.
