Do not be too stuffy; remove pompous words and substitute them with plain words. Minimize complicated gimmicks and constructions. If you can’t give the data directly and briefly, you must consider writing the copy again."

The 5 Persuasion Points That Will Have Your Prospects Doing Anything For You

This quote from Blair Warren in The One Sentence Persuasion Course explains everything. He says…

“People will do anything for those who

•      encourage their dreams

•      justify their failures

•      allay their fears

•      confirm their suspicions

•      and help them throw rocks at their enemies.”

This is exactly what I’ve been doing here.

I’ve been encouraging your dreams, telling you you can be a brilliant copywriter so that you can build your business and get more people clicking on your links and doing what you want them to do.

I justified your failures in these two sentences:

“And don’t worry if you feel like you’re an awful writer, most of us do feel that way. It’s a skill that we need to learn, and it’s usually not one we’re taught by our parents or our teachers.”

I allayed your fears in this sentence:

“…it's fun and infinitely easier than you think when you've got the Easy Copywriting Genius Formula”

I confirmed your suspicions when I said this:

“But there are definitely some secret tips and tricks great copywriters have up their sleeves, which I’m going to share with you.”

And I helped you throw rocks at your enemies by using this statement:

“And when you use the simple tools and techniques I’m sharing with you, and uncover the Genius Copywriter within, you’ll literally crush the competition.”

Be sure you’re addressing at least one or more a of these 5 persuasion points in everything you write!

Learn How To Create A Killer Call-To-Action

Start Noticing…

•      At what point in an email, article, or blog the Calls-To-Action are placed

•      How many Calls-To-Action there are in an email, article or blog

•      What the Call-To-Action is (how it’s worded)

GENIUS TIP: Create a document where you keep a list of a whole variety of “Calls-To-Action” from other people’s emails. You’ll have this as a great reference and swipe file for all of your content.

The 7 Genius Content Types

Virtually everything you write will fall into one of these 7 categories.

1.   Stories

2.   Inspiration/Motivation

3.   Testimonials/Success Stories

4.   Advice/Tips/How To

5.   Information/Top 10

6.   Marketing/Promo

7.   Surveys/Opinion Polls

GENIUS TIP: Start paying attention to all of the emails you get from top marketers. Within your swipe file you may want to categorize emails by which content type they are. When you’ve got an idea for a story to tell, take a look at your swipe file for how someone else used a story in their email.

There Are No New Ideas

Take inspiration from…

•      conversations you’ve had

•      a book you’re reading

•      a video you saw

•      an email you read

•      a blog post/article you read

•      something you saw on TV

•      something that happened in your daily life

•      something you do regularly/a routine

GENIUS TIP: You don’t have to be a “guru” to help someone.

You can help your teenager learn how to drive even though you’re not a formula one race car driver!

You don’t have to be a gourmet chef to help your daughter or granddaughter make chocolate chip cookies.

I know you’re got TONS of great content stored up inside you just waiting to come out!
